Welcome to Tuft NYC. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of tuft.nyc (the "Site"), our barbershop locations, and all services provided by Tuft NYC. By accessing the Site, booking an appointment, or using any of our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site or services.

1. About Tuft NYC

Tuft NYC is a barbershop brand operating in two locations under separate legal entities:

• Tuft SoHo, operated by Tuft Barber 1 LLC, located at 243 Mulberry Street, New York, NY 10012
• Tuft West Village, operated by Tuft Barber 2 LLC, located at 801 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10014

References to "Tuft NYC," "we," "us," or "our" in these Terms refer collectively to both entities and the brand, except where context requires otherwise.

2. Use of Our Services

You agree to use our Site and services only for lawful purposes. You may not misuse the Site, attempt to disrupt its functionality, access it through unauthorized methods, or interfere with any other user's use of our services. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time, including in cases of inappropriate behavior, repeated missed appointments, or violations of these Terms.

3. Appointments, Walk-Ins & Cancellation

Appointments

Most services at Tuft NYC are provided by appointment, which can be booked through our Site or directly by phone with the location of your choice.

Charge at Booking

All appointments booked through tuft.nyc are charged in full to your payment method at the time of booking confirmation. By submitting your booking, you authorize Tuft NYC to charge your card immediately upon confirmation and acknowledge that you agree to this immediate charge. No appointment is reserved until payment has been processed.

Consent at Booking

By completing a booking through tuft.nyc, you acknowledge and agree to:

• These Terms & Conditions
• Our Cancellation Policy
• Our Privacy Policy
• Boulevard's Terms of Service (as our booking platform provider)
• Receipt of transactional and promotional emails from Tuft NYC, from which you may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.

Walk-In Services

Select short services, including Hair Line-Ups and Beard Line-Ups, are available on a walk-in basis only and cannot be booked online. Walk-in availability is subject to barber schedules and shop capacity.

Cancellation Policy

All bookings are subject to our Cancellation Policy, available at tuft.nyc/pages/cancellation-policy. By booking an appointment, you acknowledge and agree to that policy, which includes payment, refund, and timing terms. Key points include:

• A valid credit card is required to reserve appointments.
• Your card is charged in full at the time of booking confirmation.
• Appointments canceled more than 24 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund.
• Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment are non-refundable.
• Arriving more than 10 minutes late may result in a shortened, rescheduled, or canceled appointment, treated as a late cancellation.
• Missed appointments without notice are charged in full and are non-refundable.

We reserve the right to require prepayment or refuse future bookings in cases of repeated cancellations or missed appointments.

4. House Call Services

Tuft NYC offers mobile barber services ("House Call") at private residences, hotels, offices, and other locations within our service area. House Call bookings are subject to additional terms:

• House Call bookings require full payment in advance at the time of booking.
• All House Call bookings, including hotel calls and other mobile services, are NON-REFUNDABLE except in cases where Tuft NYC cancels the appointment.
• By booking a House Call, you acknowledge and agree to this non-refundable, prepaid policy.
• The customer is responsible for providing a safe, accessible, and reasonably private workspace with adequate lighting, seating, and water access where applicable.
• Travel fees may apply based on location and are quoted at the time of booking.
• Tuft NYC reserves the right to decline or cancel a House Call if the location or environment is deemed unsafe or unsuitable. If Tuft NYC cancels a House Call for any reason, the customer is entitled to a full refund of any prepaid amounts.

5. Private Events

Tuft NYC offers private event services for groups, corporate functions, brand activations, birthday parties, team gatherings, and similar events, as well as private rental of our space.

Private event and space rental bookings require a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit at the time of booking. This deposit is forfeited if the event is canceled by the client for any reason. By booking a private event or space rental, you acknowledge and agree to the non-refundable nature of this deposit.

Private event bookings are subject to a separate written agreement that includes custom cancellation terms, minimum service requirements, venue-specific terms, and final payment due dates. Please contact us directly to discuss private event arrangements.

6. Pricing & Availability

All prices are subject to change without notice. Pricing for services may vary by barber based on experience and specialty. We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or limit any service or product at any time. While we make every effort to keep service descriptions, pricing, and availability accurate, we do not guarantee that all information on the Site is error-free.

7. Products & Purchases

Tuft NYC may offer products for purchase in-shop and through our Site. The following terms apply to product purchases:

• Products sold through our Site are subject to availability.
• We reserve the right to limit or cancel orders at our discretion, including orders that appear fraudulent or intended for resale.
• You agree to provide accurate billing, shipping, and account information for all purchases.
• Shipping, returns, and refund terms are provided at checkout and in your order confirmation.

8. Payments

Tuft NYC does not directly process or store payment information. All payments are processed through secure third-party providers, including Boulevard (our booking platform) for service bookings and Shopify for product purchases. By submitting payment information through our Site or booking flow, you authorize the applicable third-party processor to charge your selected payment method in accordance with your booking or purchase. Use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy practices.

9. Communications & Marketing Consent

Text Messages (SMS)

By providing your phone number to Tuft NYC at the time of booking, purchase, or other interaction, you consent to receive both service-related and occasional promotional communications from Tuft NYC by text message. These include:

• Transactional messages — appointment confirmations, reminders, cancellation notices, and other service-related messages.
• Promotional messages — marketing texts about appointment availability, new services, products, promotions, and special offers.

Marketing text messages are never sent as a condition of receiving our services. By providing your phone number to Tuft NYC, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Message frequency varies.
• Standard message and data rates may apply.
• You can opt out of promotional text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message.
• You can request help at any time by replying HELP.
• Carriers (including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Your mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
• Opting out of promotional messages does not affect transactional messages necessary to deliver our services.

Emails

By providing your email address to Tuft NYC at the time of booking, purchase, newsletter signup, or other interaction, you consent to receive both service-related and occasional promotional communications from Tuft NYC by email. These include:

• Transactional emails — appointment confirmations, reminders, cancellation notices, receipts, and other service-related messages. These are necessary to provide our services and cannot be opted out of while you have active bookings.
• Promotional emails — marketing emails about appointment availability, new services, products, promotions, and special offers.

Marketing emails are never sent as a condition of receiving our services. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every marketing email. Unsubscribing from promotional emails does not affect transactional emails necessary to deliver our services. Your email address will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

10. Photography & Social Media

Tuft NYC regularly photographs and videos completed services for use in marketing, social media, our Site, and other promotional materials. By visiting our shops, you acknowledge that you may be photographed or recorded. If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify your barber at the start of your visit and we will respect your preference. We will not knowingly publish identifying photos of minors without parental consent.

11. Health, Allergies & Sensitivities

Certain services, particularly color services such as Bleach + Tone, Grey Blend, and Highlights, involve chemical products that may cause allergic reactions or skin sensitivities. You are responsible for disclosing any known allergies, sensitivities, or skin conditions to your barber before service. Patch tests are available upon request for color services. Tuft NYC is not liable for adverse reactions resulting from undisclosed allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions.

12. Personal Items

Tuft NYC is not responsible for personal items lost, damaged, or left behind during your visit. Please keep belongings with you and check your seating area before leaving.

13. Minors

Minors under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for their first visit. The accompanying adult is responsible for providing consent for services, including for any color services or other treatments that may carry risk.

14. Third-Party Services

We use third-party platforms to operate our business, including but not limited to:

• Shopify (e-commerce and website hosting)
• Boulevard (appointment booking and payment processing)
• Klaviyo and Shopify Email (email marketing)
• Payment processors as engaged by Boulevard and Shopify
• Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and Lucky Orange (analytics and user behavior)
• CookieYes (cookie consent management)

We are not responsible for the performance, policies, or practices of these third-party services. Your use of these services may be governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

15. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site, including text, graphics, images, photographs, videos, logos, branding, and design elements, is the property of Tuft NYC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without prior written permission from Tuft NYC.

16. User Submissions

If you submit feedback, suggestions, reviews, photographs, or other content to Tuft NYC, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, reproduce, distribute, and display that content in connection with our business, including for marketing purposes. You represent and warrant that you have the right to submit such content and that it does not infringe on the rights of others or violate any law. You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our Site and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tuft NYC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tuft NYC, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Site or our services, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or personal injury, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid to Tuft NYC for the service giving rise to the claim.

19. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tuft NYC, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site or our services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

20. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document indicates when these Terms were most recently revised. Continued use of the Site or our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
